Power up your protein
Whether you’re a part of a social sports team or love lifting weights at the gym, we celebrate your fitness! You put a lot of effort into your workouts and we put a lot of effort into researching our shakes to help you perform at your best.
Our shakes only contain high quality, gut-safe ingredients. We use whey protein isolate (WPI) which is rich in branched chain amino acids and has high levels of leucine (key to muscle protein recovery).
The blend of 3 protein sources in our plant-based shakes covers you for all essential amino acids, as well as providing a great taste and smooth texture.
Superflora is perfect as a shake or added to a smoothie for a post workout protein boost to help repair and build lean muscle, without triggering bloating and other gut symptoms.
You can enjoy Superflora with confidence. They have been tested and certified low-FODMAP by Monash University. Similarly, our shakes have been tested by a NATA accredited lab so you can be assured that they are gluten-free.
Fall in love with Superflora protein, fibre & probiotics every day.

More than just protein
Why protein, fibre and probiotics?
Because good health starts in the gut.
Most Australians don’t eat the recommended 25 to 30g a day needed for good gut health. Our shakes contain 7g of fibre per 50g serve. Our specially selected blend includes, psyllium, PHGG, chia seeds and linseeds and is suitable for sensitive tummies.
We’ve included probiotics to improve the health and diversity of your gut flora and reduce functional bowel symptoms.
Superflora boosts your microbiome as well as your muscles.
Don’t take our word for it…
“Superflora shakes are perfect for any of us with dodgy tummies and as an added bonus they've got 25g of high quality protein per serve!
Simple additions like Superflora shake can make the world of difference.”

FAQs
Are they low fodmap?
Yes, all five flavours have been tested and certified low FODMAP by Monash University.
That means that one serve of each product is low in FODMAPs and can assist with following the Monash University Low FODMAP Diet. A strict low FODMAP diet should only be commenced under the supervision of a healthcare professional. Monash University has assessed the product as being low in FODMAPs only.
Are they lactose free?
Our Plant-Based Chocolate and Plant-based Vanilla options are lactose free.
Our other shakes contain whey protein isolate and are therefore not considered dairy or lactose free according to the Food Standard Australia and New Zealand guidelines. However, whey protein powder isolate contains only a tiny amount of lactose.
We’ve purposefully selected an Australian whey protein isolate that is 99% sugar free and is typically tolerated by most sensitive tummies.
Should I take a post-workout protein shake?
Consuming protein after exercise helps your muscles heal and grow.
Numerous studies have found that protein supplementation can help with muscle building when combined with regular strength training. A review published in the British Journal of Sports Medicine combined close to 50 studies to conclude that protein supplementation, coupled with resistance exercise training, helps make muscles bigger and stronger. When muscles are stressed during exercise, small tears are created in the tissues. Those muscles require new protein to repair, but will also absorb the extra protein consumed, increasing their mass.
How much protein do Superflora shakes contain?
Each 50g serve of pr WPI-based Superflora contains 25g of protein.
The plant-based options provide 18g per serve.
How do they help my gut health?
Apart from being low FODMAP, they gluten-free and free of common gut irritants. You won’t find any artificial sweeteners of flavours in Superflora.
They also have special blend of gentle fibre and the probiotic Bacillus coagulans MTCC 585 which helps reduce bloating and IBS discomfort.
How much protein should I am for?
You should aim for between 10%-35% of your calories coming from protein. If your body requires 2,000 calories per day, 200-700 calories should come from protein.
To increase muscle mass in conjunction with regular exercise, the American College of Sports Medicine (ACSM) recommends that a person eats between 1.2 to 1.7 g of protein per kg of body weight per day.
Similarly, when on GLP-1 agonists, it is generally recommended to increase protein intake to 1.2 to 1.6 grams of protein per kg of body weight per day to help preserve lean muscle mass, which can be lost during weight reduction. Find out more about the protein requirements of specific groups in our blog.
How should I prepare my shake?
For best results, blend 50g (1/3 of a cup) of Superflora with 250ml (1 cup) of chilled low fodmap milk (we like lactose-free, almond and soy milk) or water and drink immediately. You can add a low fodmap serving of fruit (1/3 ripe banana, 1/3 cup raspberries or 5 strawberries) for a delicious smoothie.
When is the best time to take protein powder?
After a workout is the most obvious time to drink Superflora. It delivers goodness to your muscles when they need it the most. But it also fills you up so you can recover quickly and get on with your day. But a protein-rich smoothie is also great for breakfast, and it can also be useful to tuck Superflora in your bag so that you can make a shake when you’re out and about all day.
Why did you select whey protein isolate?
There are four different forms of whey protein powders - concentrate, isolate, hydrolysate and native. All types have high BCAAs (branched chain amino acids) – the amino acids essential for rebuilding and repairing muscle. We selected whey protein isolate because it contains little or no lactose and is low in fat, which makes it a good source of protein for people with IBS, sensitive tummies and those on a low fodmap diet.
We use 100% Australian whey protein isolate that has less than 1% sugar and fat. This makes it an ideal supplement in supporting sports recovery, repairing and aiding toned muscles and to support optimum gut health.
What about the taste?
We believe that healthy food isn’t healthy if it never gets eaten - that why out shakes taste great.
We’ve added gourmet ingredients like real strawberry powder, rich cocoa powder, raw sugar and coconut milk powder for delicious natural flavour.
